Background:
Robert graduated with BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1991 and worked as a Geophysicist and Instrumentation Engineer at the British Geological Survey until 1999. Responsibilities for the UTC include:
• IT Security
• Linux system administration
• Data storage
• Data Acquisition Software and Hardware
• Provision of technical support for the Centre's training and research activities
• Developing and maintaining relationships with industrial contacts
